02 Why This Batch Is Significant

This isn’t just another DISA batch — it’s the first batch under an entirely new curriculum architecture. Here’s why it matters:

  • First-ever ISA 4.0 format: The previous DISA batches ran under ISA 3.0’s six-module academic framework. Batch 001 introduces the new eight-module operational audit structure for the first time anywhere in India.
  • Practice-oriented training: ISA 4.0 shifts from theory-heavy lectures to hands-on audit simulations, including an integrated ITGC audit hands-on lab on Day 2.
  • New modules debut: Four modules that never existed as standalone subjects — IAM Audit (Mod 4), VA/PT Audit (Mod 6), Application Security (Mod 7), and Cyber Crisis/BCM (Mod 8) — are being delivered for the first time.
  • Prestigious venue: Training at ICAI’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Gachibowli, Hyderabad — a dedicated residential training facility.

03 Mandatory Pre-Requisites (Before You Attend)

Candidates must complete the following steps before the physical training begins. These are not optional — you will not be allowed to attend the classroom sessions without clearing them:

1
Complete 15 Hours of Self-Paced e-Learning: Access the DISA 4.0 e-Learning modules on the ICAI Digital Learning Hub. These cover foundational concepts you’re expected to know before the classroom sessions.
2
Study the Background Material (BGM) & ISA Standards: Thoroughly read DAAB’s published background material and Information Systems Audit Standards (ISAS). These are the ISA 4.0 equivalent of textbooks.
3
Clear the E-Learning Assessment Test: 50 MCQs, 1 mark each. You need a minimum score of 25 marks (50%) to qualify for the classroom training. This must be completed before the batch start date.

⚠️ Important: Do not treat the pre-requisites lightly. The classroom training assumes you’ve already absorbed the foundational material. If you arrive without completing the e-Learning and assessment, you will struggle with the hands-on exercises and module tests.

09 Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the ICAI portal show “12 Days” duration while the batch is from 9th to 18th October?

The actual Professional Training (PT) spans exactly 10 calendar days (9th October to 18th October). This consists of 2 Days of Virtual Immersion Training and 8 Days of Physical Classroom Training. Any reference to “12 Days” on the LMS portal includes the pre-requisite e-Learning commitment or is a metadata artifact; your live instructor-led commitment is strictly 10 Days.

Who is eligible to register for ISA 4.0 Batch 001?

Only qualified members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) who have registered for the ISA course are eligible. This is a post-qualification course exclusively for CAs.

Is it compulsory to complete the e-Learning before the classroom training?

Yes. You must complete 15 hours of self-paced e-Learning modules AND pass the E-Learning Assessment Test (50 MCQs, 50% passing) before the batch starts. This is a mandatory pre-requisite, not optional preparation.

What happens if I miss a day of the 8-day training?

100% attendance is mandatory. If you miss any day, you will not meet the attendance requirement and may need to attend that module in a future batch. No refund is provided for partial attendance.

Is the ₹25,000 fee inclusive of accommodation and meals?

The ICAI Centre of Excellence in Hyderabad is a residential facility. Please contact the Hyderabad Batch Coordinator (Mr. Ramana Reddy at +91 9515378026) to confirm current accommodation arrangements and any additional charges.

How many attempts do I get for the Eligibility Test?

The first attempt is free. Each subsequent attempt costs ₹500. The ET is held on the 2nd Saturday of February, May, August, and November, giving you four opportunities per year.

I already have DISA under ISA 3.0. Do I need to redo ISA 4.0?

Your existing DISA qualification remains valid. ISA 4.0 is the new training framework going forward. If you want to update your knowledge (especially on the four new modules: IAM, VA/PT, App Security, and BCM), attending an ISA 4.0 batch is highly recommended for professional development, but it is not mandatory to retain your existing DISA certification.

Will there be more ISA 4.0 batches in other cities?

Batch 001 in Hyderabad is the inaugural batch. DAAB is expected to roll out ISA 4.0 batches in other cities subsequently. Monitor the DAAB courses portal for upcoming batch announcements.
