Understanding the DISA 4.0 Journey
DISA (Diploma in Information Systems Audit) is ICAI’s Post-Qualification Course in Information Systems Audit. DISA 4.0 follows a revised structure with greater emphasis on practical and hands-on learning across information systems audit, cybersecurity, IT governance, risk management, application controls and related areas.
Self-Paced E-Learning
Complete the DISA 4.0 e-learning modules, Background Material and ISA Standards.
Live Immersion Sessions
Complete the live immersion component before proceeding to the physical professional training.
Physical Professional Training
Practical training covering the eight DISA 4.0 professional-training modules.
Eligibility & Assessment
Complete the required assessments and become eligible for the ISA Eligibility Test, followed by the ISA Assessment Test.
Important: The e-learning modules, Background Material and ISA Standards should be completed before the Professional Training, along with the required E-Learning Assessment Test.

DISA 3.0 → DISA 4.0
The transition route depends on your current DISA 3.0 status. Here’s the framework in a simple format.
Follow the complete revised structure: 15-hour e-learning + 2-day live immersion + 8-day physical professional training.
AT Not Cleared
The notification provides a transition period of 6 attempts over 2 years from the launch of DISA 4.0 to clear under the old scheme.
ET & AT Pending
The notification provides an upgrade route through bridge classes, along with the specified transition options for completing DISA 3.0.
A non-mandatory option intended for skill upgradation.
Note: Transition provisions and fees shown above are based on the DISA 3.0 → DISA 4.0 notification. ICAI has stated that detailed registration, batch, examination and other operational guidelines are announced separately.
