2. Phase 1: Registration (Your First and Most Important Deadline)

This is the most critical phase of the process. All registration activities must be completed by the final deadline.

The absolute final deadline for both Assessment Test registration and Face Registration is November 8th, 2025, at 5:30 PM. The official notification explicitly states: “No Further extension shall be provided”.

2.1. Before You Register: Confirm Your Eligibility

Before proceeding with the technical steps, it is essential to confirm that you meet all prerequisites for the FAFD Assessment Test. You must have:

• An active ICAI membership number.
• Completed the Professional Training batches by September 30, 2025.
• Met the eligibility criteria of achieving 50% aggregate marks in Module Tests/Project Work and maintaining 90% attendance in the Professional Training.

2.2. The Two-Part Registration Process

Your registration is not complete until you have finished two key activities:

1. Registering for the Assessment Test (AT): This officially enrolls you for the upcoming exam.
2. Completing Face Registration: This is a one-time identity verification process.

Both of these activities must be fully completed by the November 8th deadline.

2.3. Critical Task: Face Registration

Face Registration is an authentication process that confirms your identity. Because approval can take 24 to 48 hours, you must complete this task well before the final deadline to avoid any issues. Note that if you have previously completed face registration on the DLH portal for another exam, you do not need to do it again.

• Use good lighting: Ensure your face is well-lit and avoid having a bright light source behind you (backlighting).
• Frame your face: Your face should take up more than 50% of the camera frame.
• Show your whole face: Do not wear sunglasses, hats, or anything that covers parts of your face.
• Be alone: Ensure you are the only person visible to the camera.

2.4. How to Register: A Guide for First-Timers vs. Re-Appearing Candidates

The process differs slightly depending on whether this is your first attempt.

For First-Time Candidates

There is no fee required for your first attempt. Follow these steps:

1. Log in at https://learning.icai.org using your SSP credentials.
2. Go to My Dashboard and click on the product named: “DAAB_Assessment_Forensic_Accounting and Fraud Detection 15th November 2025”.
3. Click on Launch Assessment and proceed to complete your Face Registration.
4. After submitting your face capture, you can close the window. On exam day, you will log in and click the ‘Assessment node’ to begin the test.

For Re-Appearing Candidates

A re-attempt fee of Rs. 590 (Rs. 500 + 18% GST) is required. Follow these steps:

1. Log in at https://learning.icai.org using your SSP credentials.
2. Go to My Dashboard and click on the product named: “DAAB_Assessment_Forensic_Accounting and Fraud Detection 15th November 2025 (Re-appearance Link)”.
3. Click the Launch button, then the Payment Link button, and finally press Click Here to Pay.
4. After successful payment, a new product will be added to your account: “DAAB_Assessment_Forensic_Accounting and Fraud Detection 15th November 2025”.
5. Launch this new product to complete your Face Registration (if you haven’t done it before).
6. After submitting your face capture, you can close the window. On exam day, you will log in and click the ‘Assessment node’ to begin the test.

3. Phase 2: The Mock Test (Your Practice Run)

The optional Mock Test is scheduled for Wednesday, November 12th, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon.

3.1. Why You Should Attend

While attending is optional, it is highly suggested. The mock test serves two key purposes:

• It allows you to experience the “look & feel of the exam” so you are comfortable with the interface on the final day.
• It provides a perfect opportunity to test your equipment (laptop, camera, and internet connection) to ensure everything works correctly.

Please note that the questions in the mock test may or may not be related to the FAFD course content. Its primary goal is technical preparation, not content review.

3.2. Eligibility for the Mock Test

Only members who have successfully completed their face registration by the November 8th, 2025 deadline will be able to participate in the mock test. This is another crucial reason to complete your registration early!

After this practice run, you’ll be ready for the final event.

4. Phase 3: The Final Assessment Test (Exam Day)

The final assessment will take place on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

4.1. The Golden Rule: Be On Time

There is absolutely no flexibility on the login time.

Login after 10:59 a.m. on the day of the Assessment is not allowed.

We recommend logging in at least 15-20 minutes early to handle any unexpected technical issues.

1. No Distractions: The system records all interruptions. Any attempt to minimize the screen, open a new tab, refresh the page, or exit the test window will cause the exam to be locked and automatically submitted. You will not be able to continue.
2. Submit Button: The “Submit” button will not be active for the first 60 minutes after you begin your exam.
3. Unfair Means: Using a mobile device, tablet, or engaging in any other disorderly conduct will be treated as using unfair means and can result in significant penalties.
